Warehouse Assistant

Position Title:                        Tool Room/Shipping & Receiving Clerk (Warehouse Assistant)

Employment Classification: Regular, Full-time, Non-Exempt, Hourly
Position Grade:                     Class L – 6
Schedule:                   Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Summary of Duties:
The Warehouse Assistant will work within a dynamic and passionate team to ensure that appropriate minimum and maximum stock levels are maintained. The position will provide logistical support for that inventory from supplier to warehouse or service trucks, and to job site.  
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain an organized Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing Service Stock.
  • Maintain min and max levels of inventory.
  • Coordinate and deliver material to and from job sites.
  • Verify counts and prices on shipments.
  • Verify counts in Main Stock and on Service vehicles through regular scheduled cycle counts.
  • Be available as a delivery driver, when other drivers are unavailable
  • Maintain computerized purchase order system.
  • Assist in product and material research for technicians.
  • Promote, practice and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Shape company culture by living out agreed upon values, specifically ethics and integrity.
  • Provide support and verification of service truck stock levels, organization, security, and safety.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
  • Proven warehouse work experience
  • Expertise in warehouse procedures and best practices
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Hands on experience with warehouse software and databases
  • Electrical, plumbing, HVAC experience a plus.
 
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Professional Management Professional certification preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License to include active liability insurance.
  • Successful completion of required criminal record and motor vehicle record background checks.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff, management and clients.

  • Ability to accurately read and understand technical instructions.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
