The 11th Annual Wagner's Turkey Trot, a family-friendly two-mile run/walk, will be held at Tuscaloosa's Midtown Village Saturday, November 16 at 8 a.m. Presented by the Tuscaloosa Track Club and Wagner's RunWalk, the popular November event includes giveaways, prizes, and food from Frutta Bowls, Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe and Metro Diner. Turkey Trot participants are also encouraged to join the fight against food insecurity by bringing non-perishable food items for donation to the West Alabama Food Bank and the Community Soup Bowl. The event goal is 500 food items. Canned and packaged food items can be dropped off at Wagner's RunWalk, located at 1800 McFarland Blvd E, Suite 424 in Tuscaloosa November 1-22, or on the day of the race. To register for the event, pick up an application at Wagner's RunWalk or sign up on race day. Registration costs are $25 for singles and $30 for families (additional $5 after Nov. 10). The race, which features a flat course, serves as the membership drive for the Tuscaloosa Track Club. The entry fee covers TTC membership dues for 2020, and includes Wagner's RunWalk store discounts and a TTC shirt. For updates, RSVP on the race's Facebook event, 11th Annual Wagner's Turkey Trot.
