Join over 2000 anticipated participants for the Tuscaloosa Heart Walk on Saturday, March 25th, 2017 at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater. The festivities begin at 8 a.m. and the walk begins at 9 a.m. This free event includes a kids zone, survivor recognition, health screenings, a 5k River Walk route, refreshments, music, and much more! -Corporate Support: Is your company looking for ways to build team moral, improve employee health and be recognized as a community leader in the Tuscaloosa area? The AHA has many ways to get involved. Contact heidi.darbo@heart.org for more information.
-Heart Walk Coach: Whether you want to remember a loved one, celebrate your health, or walk in honor of a survivor consider being a Heart Walk Coach by registering at: tuscaloosaheartwalk.org. As a Coach you will also recieve tools to help better the health of your friends, your family, and your community.
-Event volunteer: Do you want to "give back" with your muscle? The American Heart Association is currently recruiting volunteers for the 2017 Tuscaloosa Heart Walk. Volunteers are needed on the afternoon of Friday, March 24th, 2017 1-5 pm as well as Saturday, March 25th, 2017 6:30 am- 11:30 am. Volunteer duties include: set-up (village); set-up (route); tent volunteers to distribute information; greeters/registration; clean-up (village); clean-up (route); and general as-needed duties. Volunteers may request a letter confirming service hours to use for various service organizations, clubs, etc
