This free community event is open to Lake Tuscaloosa home owners, environmental groups, boat captains, and the general public who are passionate about keeping Lake Tuscaloosa (our local drinking water source) clean and litter-free. Citizens with boats are needed and requested to participate. Volunteers will ride in boats to locations around Lake Tuscaloosa and collect litter and trash from the water and shoreline. Litter bags, gloves and safety vests will be provided by the City of Tuscaloosa. Volunteers will be able to pre-register by filling out the volunteer registration form on the Facebook event page or register the day of the event at the Binion Creek Boat Landing (Highway 43) or the Rock Quarry Boat Landing (New Watermelon Rd).
