The Arts Council of Tuscaloosa will present an exhibit by Jamie Adams titled “A Stuttering Warren” June 7-28, 2019 in The Arts Council Gallery at the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center. An artist reception open to the public will take place on June 7 from 5-8 p.m. during First Friday. Each of the pieces in the exhibit was created from terracotta and fritware, a type of ceramic that dates back to the ninth century A.D. “I make my own fritware bodies, based on historic recipes and modern research and my own trial and error,” Adams said. “Fritware is made mostly of silica, something that makes this work different from clay-based ceramics.”
