The 5th Annual Evening of African Film will be held Saturday, February 4, at the Bama Theatre in downtown Tuscaloosa. The event, will kick off in the afternoon with African dance, music and story-telling beginning at 2 pm, followed by an award-winning children's animation move and three African films. The event is presented by the Edward A. Ulzen Memorial Foundation and Afram South Inc., nonprofit organizations supporting education and public health initiatives in Ghana, West Africa, and West Alabama, respectively, and co-sponsored by UA's College of Community Health Sciences. Tickets for the event are $10 for adults and $8 for youths aged 14-17 and are available at Brown Paper Tickets (http://tuskafrikanfilm.brownpapertickets.com/) or at the Bama Theatre box office on the day of the event.
