Make plans now to attend the inaugural Alabama Blues Weekend, July 7-8, 2017, on The University of Alabama campus in Tuscaloosa. Advance registration is $10 per person and will be available to the public beginning May 15. Proceeds benefit Alabama Blues Project, an awesome non-profit organization preserving Blues music through interactive programs, after-school camps, clubs and advanced ensembles, reaching over 400 students annually from ages 6 to 18. Attend a free public concert at Tuscaloosa's Government Plaza! • Friday night, Live at the Plaza — featuring a full Blues set from Birmingham Seven Registration for Alabama Blues Weekend opens May 15 and includes: • Friday — bring your lunch to UA's Ferguson Center and enjoy a free concert by Alabama Blues Project's Advanced Band • Friday and Saturday — at Bryant Conference Center, observe masterclasses and participate in sessions led by Blues experts, music industry experts, and UA faculty • Saturday night — the grand finale of Alabama Blues Weekend, Rollin' with the Blues Concert at Moody Music, featuring performances by Blues guest artists and faculty with selected students
