Join the Alabama Blues Project for an open house on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center. ABP is a nonprofit organization aimed at promoting and preserving the Blues as a traditional and contemporary art form, focusing on the contributions of Alabama’s great Blues musicians. Annually, the organization raises funds to support its after-school programs and seasonal camps through the sale of works donated by local artists. Pieces from the 2019 exhibit will hang in the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center from May 21st through 31st and features pieces from artisans such as Emily Pickert, Mojo Fabrics & Quilts, Bruce Andrews, and Kim Deals.
