Deepen your project management competencies in key areas like initiation, planning, execution, control, and closure. Apply advanced methods for project activities like scheduling, cost management, risk management, procurement, staffing, communication, and quality to scenarios encountered in a challenging simulation. The software-based simulation will present you with situations during the planning and execution phases of projects and challenge you to make timely decisions that can affect the outcome of the project. To familiarize yourself with fundamental project management concepts before this course, attendance at the Developing Project Management Skills course or an equivalent course is highly encouraged but not required. Completion of this course constitutes progress toward earning a certificate designating the participant as a University of Alabama (UA) Practitioner in Project Management. See the website or contact the program manager for details on earning the UA Expert Practitioner and UA Master Practitioner designations.
